We will provide a safe and positive playing experience for all of our participants while teaching the value of teamwork, dedication, discipline and leadership. We will continue the tradition of Kinnelon Football while helping our players learn and grow together as a team - making friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. And ABOVE ALL our mission and our focus will always be about what is best for the kids.

Program Philosophy
KINNELON JUNIOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION COACHING PHILOSOPHY
EMPHASIS ON THREE FUNDAMENTALS:
- A Positive Organizational Culture
- Perfect Effort
- Fun
POSITIVE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE
We will teach our players through positive reinforcement. Mistakes will happen, but we will encourage our players to correct mistakes through reinforcement of the proper way to achieve success.
Coach every player to get the best out of them. Focus on everyone during the season, looking to continuously improve each player. Understand the enormous influence a coach can have on a player - we are together 5 days a week for 4 months.
Inappropriate behavior by players will occur (e.g. goofing off) and players will be disciplined. However, we will refrain from yelling or demeaning our players in order to maintain our Positive Organizational Culture!
Football is the greatest team sport and it teaches life lessons. We will teach our players about sportsmanship, team over individual, discipline, hard work and overcoming obstacles.
Coaches will be professional and respect the game. We will never say anything negative to opposing coaches or officials and we will show only respect. If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. A hand shake and good game is all that is needed. We will lead by example.
PERFECT EFFORT
We will never be perfect, but we can always strive for perfect effort.
For Our Players - we ask that they bring their best effort in everything they do. If you make a mistake make it at 100 mph. Bring Perfect Effort for yourself, for your teammates and for your coaches.
For Our Coaches - we will bring Perfect Effort in how we coach. We will be the most prepared team in the league. We will game plan as a coaching staff and provide our players with the best opportunity to succeed. Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.
HAVE FUN
Football is a game. We strive for excellence, but we never lose site that we should be having FUN!!!!!
